Our inaugural playlist of the series came from October 28, 1979, when WIDB was "The Album Station". FM had spent the last decade becoming the bandwidth of choice for discriminating hi-fi, and programming simultaneous multiple cuts from the widest range of rock, jazz-fusion and "new wave" releases became the genesis of alternative rock programming.
